Lakhta Center project team was awarded the RF Government Prize

Members of the team that built the Lakhta Center multifunctional complex became laureates of government awards in the field of science and technology.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on awarding the 2020 Government prizes in the field of science and technology.

The awards were awarded “for the development and creation of structural and technological solutions and a model for managing the construction of a unique high-rise facility.” 10 people received government awards.

The 462 meters high Lakhta Center skyscraper, built at the end of 2018, located in St. Petersburg on the shores of the Baltic Sea, is the tallest building in Europe and the world’s tallest northern skyscraper. The tower has 87 overground and 2 underground floors. The tower building in the plan is a five-pointed star, the rays of which diverge from the central nucleus and has a twisted conical shape. The architectural and technical solutions of the unique complex, on which the team of architects, designers and engineers of GORPROJECT has been working since 2011, are innovative in many aspects.
